Minimal Impact | flat-packed cardboard

The purpose of this project was to design a stool that would be economically friendly in terms of manufacturing, transportation, and life cycle. Additional issues that I focused on were stability, aesthetics, and simple, intuitive assembly.

The final design is inspired by a swiss cross, as the symmetrical and balanced form encompasses both an aesthetic and structural soundness. The stool consists of three main pieces; a base, seat top, and middle cross-support.
